Day trips from Malaga to Ronda
Are you looking for day trips from Malaga to Ronda? With 35.000 inhabitants, Ronda is one of the smaller cities in the province of Malaga. It is located about 100 km inland and surrounded by spectacular landscape. The town has a quaint historical centre with beautiful alleys and is full of charm and character.
One of the most famous highlights of Ronda is the impressive old bridge over the gorge (ironically it is called the Puente Nuevo – new bridge- as there is actually another bridge in town that is older) providing beautiful views over the mountains and valleys.
How to get there from Malaga:
By train.
At the main train station of Malaga: Malaga Maria Zambrano there is a direct train to Ronda.
The journey takes around 2 hours and ticket- at the time of writing- costs around 12€ one way.

Nerja and The Balcony of Europe
Are you looking for Trips from Malaga to Nerja? Approximately 60 km east from Malaga you will find beautiful Nerja. A white village (pueblo blanco) with small beaches backed by impressive cliffs and the famous Balcony of Europe with beautiful views of the Mediterranean sea and the coast of Southern Spain.
Nerja is a beautiful town to explore, but it´s also perfect for enjoying a day on one of its spectacular beaches or for the more adventurous, why not try some sea kayaking?
How to get there from Malaga:
By bus
Buses to Nerja leave almost every hour during the day. You can take the bus from the main bus station (near the Maria Zambrano train station) or from the sub-bus station next to Malaga’s port (Avda Manuel Agustín Heredia)

Mijas Pueblo
Costa del Sol excursions
Are you interested in Costa del Sol excursions? Andalusia is famous for its white villages- pueblos blancos. The nearest one to explore, approx. 35 kms from Malaga, is called Mijas Pueblo- an enchanting white-washed village nestled in the impressive mountain range of the Sierra de Mijas with amazing views over the Costa del Sol and to as far away as Gibraltar and Africa on clear days. Enjoy wandering the cobbled streets and wind you way up the narrow lanes to visit the hermita- small mountain church- that looks down on the village. A great place for souvenir shopping, browse the many artesan shops and pick up some local crafts or ceramics, buy some local artesan souvenirs and dine in one of the many restaurants.
How to get there from Malaga:
By coastal train and bus.
Take the Cercanias C1 train from the Malaga Centro-Alameda station to Fuengirola.

Then walk one block south (towards the sea) and take the Portillo bus no. 122 to Mijas Pueblo. The bus stop can be found on the street perpendicular to the Fuengirola bus station- Av. Condes de San Isidro.

A list of people driving to your destination on that date will be shown. Decide which person you would like to join, make the reservation and then you will receive the driver´s contact details. Now you just have to show up at the meeting point and start your trip! It’s a piece of cake!
