케이 패럴은 2008년에 ‘MALAGA BIKE’를 설립했습니다. 항상 자전거로 출퇴근해 온 케이 씨는 지난 수년간 ‘자전거’를 통해 여러 나라를 두루 여행하기도 했습니다. 그녀는 새로운 장소를 방문할 때면 항상 ‘city 자전거’ 투어를 하거나 ‘자전거’를 대여하는 것을 첫 번째 일정으로 삼습니다. 그녀는 새로운 도시를 탐험하는 데 이보다 더 좋은 방법은 없다고 굳게 믿고 있습니다.

In 2008, there were no other bike tour & rental companies in Malaga. With Málaga’s all year round excellent climate, its rich cultural history and its privileged location on the Mediterranean Sea, to start a bike tour company was a ‘no-brainer’ for Kay.

Bull+자전거 로고 소개

스페인 출신 예술가이자 ‘MALAGA BIKE’의 친구인 엔리케 리나자(Enrique Linaza)가 저희만의 독특한 로고를 디자인해 주었습니다. 저희는 스페인 말라가, 자전거, 그리고 생태를 모두 담아낼 수 있는 디자인을 원했습니다. 그래서 엔리케는 스페인에서 가장 잘 알려진 상징인 황소를, 당연히 ‘자전거’로 변형시켰습니다. 우리의 황소 ‘자전거’의 스타일은 피카소 특유의 느낌을 물씬 풍기며, 말라가 출신의 가장 유명한 인물인 파블로 피카소를 기리고 있습니다. 황소 ‘자전거’의 녹색은 우리 사업이 추구하는 친환경 활동을 반영합니다. 우리는 이 황소 ‘자전거’를 정말 사랑합니다!

케이 파렐 소개

H안녕하세요! 저는 ‘Malaga Bike Tours & Rentals’의 설립자이자 대표인 케이 패럴입니다. 원래는 잉글랜드 북부의 위드네스라는 마을 출신인데, 오랫동안 캐나다 토론토에서 살았으며 그곳에서는 일 년 중 대부분을 눈과 혹한 속에서 자전거를 타며 보냈습니다. 2003년에 1년만 머물 생각으로 말라가에 왔는데… 아직도 여기 있네요!

일 년에 320일이나 햇살이 내리쬐는 이곳은 언제나 자전거 타기에 안성맞춤인 날씨입니다. 열렬한 산악 자전거 애호가인 저는 ‘자전거’에 올라타서 ~로 향하는 것만큼 즐거운 일은 없습니다. 말라가의 몬테스 -시내 중심가에서 불과 몇 분 거리입니다. 게다가 대학에서 역사를 전공했던 저로서는, 유럽에서 가장 오래된 도시 중 하나에 살고 있다는 사실이, 뭐랄까, 역사 애호가에게는 꿈이 현실이 된 셈이죠!

So how did I end up here then? Well, in 2002, I was travelling around Andalusia with a friend. She suggested going into Malaga for a day. My response was, “Why? What’s there?” Like many other people had done for many years, I thought Malaga was just an airport. Anyhow, we took the train into the city. As soon as we left the station in the Alameda Principal, basically the only word that came out of my mouth for the rest of the day was WOW! In just one day, Malaga stole my heart!

그래서 2003년에 대담한 결단을 내렸습니다. 처음 몇 년간은 영어 교사로서의 일을 계속했습니다. 몇 년 후, 진로를 바꾸고 싶은 마음에 자전거와 역사에 대한 저의 열정을 결합한 새로운 모험을 시작하기로 결심했습니다. 그렇게 2008년, ‘MALAGA BIKE’가 탄생했습니다. 저는 자전거 단 16대로 회사를 시작했습니다. 솔직히 말해 처음 몇 년은 쉽지 않았습니다. 당시 말라가는 아직 관광 명소로 제대로 자리 잡지 못한 상태였으니까요. 하지만 수년이 지난 지금, 말라가는 스페인에서 도시 여행을 즐기기에 가장 인기 있는 여행지 중 하나가 되었습니다.

As Malaga has grown in popularity, so has MALAGA BIKE in size- lots more bikes, bigger premises and an enthusiastic team dedicated to helping people discover the city and surrounding areas by bike. Seeing our customers fall in love with this enchanting city is the most satisfying part of the job. You can imagine how pleased I felt when a customer said to me one day, “There’s a WOW on every corner.” Job done! 🙂

Hi! I’m Eline, an intern from Rijswijk in the south of Holland! 🇳🇱

I’m currently studying International Marketing & Communication at MBO Rijnland, and I’m spending four months with the Málaga Bike Tours & Rentals team as part of my studies. During my internship, I’m helping create fresh and engaging social media content — so you’ll probably be seeing plenty of me online! 📸

This is also my first time living away from my family, and I’m really making the most of the experience:

“It has been a new and different experience. I have already learned a lot and met many new friends through Erasmus meet-ups. I think it is a great opportunity to not only gain work experience, but also to see a different part of the world. I get to travel to new cities on my days off, which is very cool.”

Hi, I’m Jimi, a Creative Business student from Helmond in the Netherlands, currently living and working in Málaga.

I study Creative Business at De Rooi Pannen in Eindhoven, where I’m learning about marketing, media, communication and the creative industry. My studies give me the opportunity to combine creativity with practical experience — something I’m getting plenty of during my time in Málaga!

I have a real passion for photography, video and travel, and I love exploring new places, meeting new people and capturing the experiences along the way. For me, creating content is all about showing what makes a place unique and bringing those experiences to life through photos and video.

I’m also a big fan of hip-hop music. When I’m not exploring Málaga or working on content, I enjoy going to concerts and experiencing live music.

During my time with Málaga Bike Tours & Rentals, I get to combine my studies and creativity with my love for exploring the city. I’m involved in creating content and helping showcase Málaga from a different perspective, while also getting to know the city myself.

I’m always happy to help our customers with recommendations, whether you’re looking for a great bike route, an interesting place to visit or a good spot for delicious tapas.

Hi! I’m Javier, originally from Ciudad Real, although I’ve called Málaga home since I was 12 years old. 🚲

When it comes to bikes, you could say I have a little experience… 😄

For 25 years, I ran my own bike shop, Biciología, in Torremolinos. So it’s safe to say that I really know my bikes!

Bikes are my life, my hobby, my work. I love fixing bikes!

I’ve also been competing in cycling for 26 years, taking part in everything from XCO and 24-hour races to road and mountain bike competitions. Over the years, I’ve cycled all over Málaga province and across much of Andalusia, so I know the roads, trails and mountains around here extremely well.

For our bike-packing customers, I’m your man! 🚵‍♂️ My years of experience, knowledge of the local area and passion for cycling mean I’m always happy to help make your bike-packing adventure the best it can be.
